Scientists in Austria have found 19 people living be descendants of the prehistoric ice age 5,300 years was discovered in the Alps mountain snow.
Researchers from the Institute of Legal Medicine in Innsbruck Medical University took DNA samples and information from relatives of blood donors in Tyrol in western Austria.
Results were surprised to see 19 people in a total of 3,700 blood donors were analyzed with gene mutations similar to Ötzi the ice man.
The researchers believe that, with this result they may also be found in the vicinity of the Engadine in Switzerland and South Tyrol region of Italy.
Share with the BBC, Walther Parson researchers at Innsbruck Medical University, said the experts "find partners to Switzerland and Italy can continue to pursue their research."
Reportedly, 5,300 year-old Ötzi the ice man was discovered in 1991 in the Alps. The analysis of the ice mummy later made many theories about his death.
Archaeologists believe that the tape is a dead hunter conflict with other tribes when hunting. But some analysts said the medicine, he died due to parasitic infection.
Currently the researchers about the band continues to expand DNA studies of mummies and hope there will be a lot more interesting information about this famous band.
